Starting this week, Sundays evenings are going to be a bit different than they are now.
Instead of meeting for Sunday evening services in the teen center, we will be meeting at the home of Mike and Mel Srader (Let me know if you need directions). We will be meeting and going through a really cool small group study called The Kingdom Experiment.
This isn’t your typical Bible study- it’s much more interactive than most studied I have been a part of, and will focus on The Beatitudes. From the website, this is the basic format:
1. Read and discuss each chapter with your group
2. Pick one of eight experiments (challenges to live intentionally) to do throughout the week.
3. Journal your thoughts and experiences
4. Share your experiences as a group the following week
It should be a great time, and I hope that lots of you can participate with us!

See that picture up there? That’s a small portion of Panama City Beach, where we will be spending a week this summer.
If you are at all interested in spending a week of your summer going on a spiritual retreat in a tropical paradise, come to the meeting this Sunday night after the PM youth service. Should be about 6pm, and we’ll meet in the sanctuary.
The trip dates are July 17-22, and I will be needing some parents to accompany us on this trip. Hope to see you there!
If you just can’t wait for the meeting on Sunday night, then try to watch this video of a random baby laughing hysterically without smiling. Go on, I dare ya.

Just wanted to remind everyone that for the first 15 minutes, the teens will join the adults in the sanctuary for a time of “contemporary” praise and worship. Then, we will go to the teen center and do our usual thing.
Hope to see you there!

Hi everyone,
I mentioned this last week, but I wanted to remind everyone. Regular church services are being held on TUESDAY at 6pm this week instead of Wednesday because we have a special guest missionary coming to share with us. These are always really interesting, and I hope to see lots of you there!
Also, for anyone interested- we will have a youth group game night Wednesday night during regular church time. Feel free to bring your favorite board/card game

Schedule update for the youth group :
The church has canceled all services for this Wednesday night, so there will be no youth group this week like we had originally said.
Sorry for the confusion!
See everyone on Sunday morning for Sunday school.

What is “The Difference”?
It’s a community-wide youth retreat with at least 11 participating churches this year. There will be moving services, great small group discussions, and a variety of sports and other activities to keep you busy. Think of it as a “mini” camp experience.
When is “The Difference”?
It will begin late on Friday night, January 14th- and last until lunchtime on Sunday, January 16th.
Where is “The Difference”?
It’s at the Pineywoods Baptist Camp in the Corrigan, TX area. It’s about an hour south of us.
How much does “The Difference” cost?
The registration is $75, but many of you should have money in your accounts from recent fundraisers.
Who is the speaker/band for “The Difference this year?
Both the preaching and worship will be led by James Tealy. You can find out more about him here.
How do I register for “The Difference”?
Just click here (PDF) to download the registration form. Print it out, fill it out, and bring it to Pastor Wes
And if you have any other questions at all, just let me know.

This Saturday night, we will have our annual teen Christmas party in the youth building.
Starting at 6pm, we will be doing all of our traditional party things- eating food, making “gingerbread” houses, and having a gift exchange.
There will be a sign-up on Wednesday night for food. Other than that, everyone should bring a box of graham crackers and a container of icing for our houses building supplies.
Also, if you want to participate in the gift exchange- bring a gift that costs no more than $5. Gifts can be real, funny, brought from home… whatever you want.
Hope to see everyone there!!

The youth group has decided that they would like to have a Thanksgiving dinner together, so next Wednesday that’s just what we’ll do!
Next Wednesday, Nov. 17th- we will eat a meal together in the teen center during normal church time.
Instead of doing the normal “paper and pen” sign-up, I am trying an online sign-up system. You can go to our sign-up sheet here to RSVP and choose an item to bring.
If you have any questions, let me know!
